Motel Government Bids & RFPs

The contract award and hotel selection must be completed no later than July 13, 2026.

The hotel must be located in Annapolis, Maryland, or within a maximum 15-minute drive from the Naval Academy, and be able to accommodate full-size **** passenger buses conveniently for loading/unloading guests. The hotel must have ample private and suitable space available to host a welcome reception event for approximately 115 guests and a suitable location in the lobby area to set up registration tables and a visitor welcoming center. The hotel must be able to provide a total experience for the guests of the Naval Academy, commensurate with the Naval Academy's reputation.

The hotel is required to provide a sample reception menu and a sample breakfast menu with their bid.

The bid notice states that hotel lodging must be available for exclusive use from 5 PM on Friday, July 10, 2026, until check out Sunday, July 12, 2026, and a catered hot breakfast will be provided on July 11, 2026.

The bid notice states that catering services must be provided by a caterer known to work with the Bonnet Springs Event Center in the past, and selected from the attached PWS list.

The hotel must be physically located within a 4-mile radius of the White House and within one quarter mile walking distance to a Metro station. The hotel must have a 3-star or better designation according to the Mobil Travel Guide of rating. Rooms shall be as contiguous as possible and shall be located within the same hotel. Rooms must be suitable for nationally distinguished civilian and military guests. The hotel property and rooms shall meet or exceed industry standards for cleanliness and décor. Furniture, fixtures, and linens shall not be at the end of its life cycle, showing worn or shabby appearance. Rooms must have refrigerated air conditioning/heating through a central system or individual air conditioning/heating units. Window or other type fans are not considered to be air conditioning units.

Prior to award, a site visit will be conducted by the organization as a part of the evaluation process.
