This is a Request for Quotes (RFQ) for the upgrade of security lights at the U. S. Government residence 10316. The scope of work includes the supply and installation of light fittings, cables, wall chasing, masonry, gardening, painting, and trenching. Proposals must be submitted in English and in MS Word, MS Excel, or Adobe Acrobat PDF format, not exceeding 10MB per email. A mandatory site visit is scheduled for April 20, 2026. The deadline for submission of bids is April 27, 2026, at 02:00 PM. Offerors must also submit a signed **** form, acknowledgement of the statement of work, pricing, additional information for evaluation, and proof of SAM registration or relevant FAR clauses. The U. S. Embassy intends to award a contract based on initial proposals without discussions, but may hold discussions if needed. The magnitude of the construction project is estimated to be between $25,000 and $50,000.
The deadline for the submission of bids is April 27, 2026, at 02:00 PM. No quotations will be accepted after this stipulated deadline.
Payments shall be made in Malawi Kwacha. See payment terms in attached contract clauses.
In addition to any other warranties in this contract, the contractor warrants that work performed under this contract conforms to the contract requirements and is free of any defect in equipment, material, or design furnished, or workmanship performed by the contractor or any subcontractor or supplier at any tier. This warranty shall continue for a period of 1 year from the date of final acceptance of the work.
The government intends to award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the highest technically rated offeror with a fair and reasonable price.
Offerors must submit proof of SAM registration, or if not registered in SAM, all required provisions outlined in the FAR clauses. The contractor shall be qualified or approved by the manufacturer to perform the work for the specified guarantee period.
If the contractor falls behind the approved schedule, the contracting officer may impose liquidated damages for any additional costs actually incurred by the government as a result of the contractors failure to meet the schedule.
A site visit is scheduled for April 20, 2026, at 09:30 AM. Expression of interest for the site visit must be submitted in writing via email by April 15, 2026.
Any prospective offeror who requires a clarification, explanation or interpretation of the contract requirements must make a request to the contracting officer not less than ten working days before the closing date of the solicitation.
The magnitude of construction project is anticipated to be in the price range between $25,000 and $50,000.
