The bid is for the acquisition of one new, commercially available Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) Punch/Fiber Laser Combination Machine. The machine will be used for processing aircraft sheetmetal engine components and will perform precision punching and laser cutting operations on various metals including aluminum, steel, inconel, titanium, copper, brass, nickel, and stainless steel alloys. The scope includes the machine, technical data, tooling, accessories, ancillary equipment, foundations, delivery, unloading, rigging, installation, testing, and training. Delivery, installation, and training will occur at Fleet Readiness Center East (FRCE) aboard Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Cherry Point, North Carolina. The equipment must comply with OSHA regulations (29 CFR ****), NFPA 70, and NFPA 79. Safety guarding must be provided per ANSI ****, ****, ANSI ****, and ANSI **** noise levels must not exceed 84 decibels (dB) at the operator's work position or within three feet of the equipment, excluding noise generated by the workpiece. The machine must not contain mercury or mercury compounds, asbestos or materials containing asbestos, and has restrictions on the use of lead and polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB).
