The contractor will collect riparian health data at designated
monitoring areas (DMAs) in accordance with the BLM's MIM protocol. The project involves field surveys between June 30 and September 30, 2026, with draft data submitted by November 30, 2026, and final reports by December 31, 2026. The contractor must submit a one-page resume for all key personnel, including a project manager and a field crew of at least two personnel. The project manager must have experience reviewing
monitoring data, coordinating with agency personnel, and producing deliverables. Field crew members must have formal training for MIM and experience in the relevant vegetation types. Landowner permission may be required for access to some DMAs. Payment will be made in two installments: 50% upon completion of field surveys and provision of a list of completed sites, and 50% upon BLM acceptance of the final reports. Hard copy and/or digital versions of maps and previous survey information will be provided. The contractor is responsible for obtaining landowner permission and acquiring legal access to all BLM parcels and stream reaches. A 8-megapixel or greater camera with georeference capability is required. The contractor will be responsible for all equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other items needed to complete the field work protocols. A 4-wheel drive vehicle or UTV/ATV for transportation is required. The contractor will be responsible for making sure all vehicles, 4 wheelers, or UTVs are washed regularly to reduce the spread of noxious weed seeds. The contractor will be responsible for carrying necessary fire extinguishers and any other safety first-aid equipment. An initial pre-work teleconference will occur after award of the contract. Other as-needed teleconferences, phone calls, or email correspondence with BLM shall be conducted whenever requested by the COR or the contractor in which questions relating to the project need to be discussed. Any records, photographs, data, notes, etc. generated and/or created for the purposes of this contract are owned by the BLM and require review and permission prior to release of any information. The contractor cannot copyright, sell, release, or reproduce any of this material. Images will not be protected from release through freedom of information act requests.
