The Municipality of Anchorage is seeking proposals for hazardous fuels chipping services. Proposals can be submitted electronically through BidExpress or via sealed envelope. Key dates include questions due by May 28, 2026, and proposals due by June 19, 2026. The scope of work involves curbside chipping of woody vegetation, removal, hauling, and disposal. Contractors must provide equipment, staffing, and adhere to safety and environmental regulations. The award criterion is based on a total of 100 points, with qualifications and experience (15 points), project manager (10 points), project staff (5 points), available resources (20 points), project methodology and approach (20 points), and cost (30 points) being considered.
Proposers must describe their experience in fuels reduction, vegetation management, and chipping services, demonstrate organizational capacity and stability, and provide at least three references for similar work.
Consistent failure to meet the minimum production requirement may result in corrective operational direction, adjustment of the work schedule, reduction of operational days, or termination of the contract.
A site visit is not applicable for this RFP.
The bid notice does not require sample submission.
The municipality will not be responsible for costs associated with any challenge to the determination of the highest ranked proposer and/or award of contract and/or rejection of proposal.
Failure to sign the proposal is grounds for rejection.
