Sealed fixed-price bids are solicited for ductile iron pressure class pipe and associated items. Bids are due August 25, 2026, by 2:00 PM CST. Questions are due August 19, 2026. The contract term is one year, with two one-year renewal options. The city intends to award to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. Pricing must be inclusive of all costs. Delivery is F. O. B. City of Huntsville Water Pollution Control or job site upon request. A bid bond is not required, but a certificate of insurance is required of the successful bidder. Successful bidders with a physical location in Huntsville must have a city business license. Bids will be evaluated as a whole, and a quote must be submitted for all items not listed in the bidder pricing form that have a discount applied. Delivery date will be no more than six weeks from receipt of purchase order.

The city will render payment by check or electronic funds transfer on a net 30-day basis after receipt of an invoice.
All ductile iron pipe shall be guaranteed by the manufacturer against defects in material and workmanship for a minimum period of one year after delivery. Should any defects be found in significant portions of a given lot number, then all pipe from that particular lot number shall be guaranteed against defects in materials and workmanship for at least five years from date of installation and acceptance by the owner.
All bids will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. This determination may involve factors such as price, conformity to specifications, financial ability, previous performance, facilities, equipment, availability of repair parts, experience, delivery promise, terms of payments, compatibility, and other objective factors.
Bidders must be qualified vendors. The city will take reasonable measures to determine bidder capability, business integrity, financial resources, and reliability.
All items bid will be inspected by a representative of the city upon delivery to ascertain compliance with the specifications.

Bidders may be disqualified for reasons including failure to use bid forms, lack of signature, failure to properly complete the bid form, evidence of collusion, unauthorized alteration of the bid form, failure to submit a bid bond if required, or for public improvement projects, failure to note the general contractor's license number.
