This is a request for quotation (RFQ) for a 50k
cryocooler. The
cryocooler must meet specific technical specifications, including base temperature, temperature fluctuation, cooling power, and compatibility with existing vacuum systems. The
cryocooler must be a new, established commercial product, and the vendor must provide a maintenance plan. The delivery must be completed within 5 months of the order receipt. The notice also specifies that the delivery must be made to NIST Boulder and NIST Gaithersburg. There are requirements for onsite visits by vendor representatives, and the vendor must be a US citizen or foreign nationals must pre-register 30 days prior to the visit. The
cryocooler must be operable on single phase 120 vac 60 hz input power and nema 515 receptacles. The
cryocooler must be mountable to a vacuum chamber via 4. 5inch conflat vacuum flange. The end of the cold head shall not extend less than 2 inches above the mounting vacuum flange. The cold head of the
cryocooler shall be made from oxygen free, highconductivity ofhc copper and have a lateral footprint of at least 1. 5 x 1. 5. The weight of the
cryocooler integrated compressor and cold finger shall not be more than 10 lbs 4. 5 kg, nor shall its physical dimensions exceed 12 inches in overall length or 8 inches in overall width. The temperature controller shall be interfaceable with a pc via usb. The
cryocooler shall be operable on single phase 120 vac 60 hz input power and nema 515 receptacles. The
cryocoolers rated mean time before failure shall not be less than 100,000 hours. There will be a plan for
cryocooler maintenance. The
cryocooler must be an established commercial product with at least one unit of comparable complexity operating successfully in the field. Experimental or prototype items are not acceptable. The
cryocooler shall be a new not refurbished or reconditioned item covered by the original manufacturers full warranty. The use of gray market components not authorized for sale in the u. s. by the proposer is not acceptable.
