Sealed bids are invited for the President's House Patio Project, including demolition, site work, patio construction, and restoration. Bids are due June 30, 2026, at 2:00 PM. A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for June 15, 2026, at 10:00 AM, attendance is recommended but not mandatory. Official bid documents must be obtained from Dutchess Community College or the Empire State Bid System. The project requires substantial completion by November 1, 2026. All communications regarding clarifications or interpretations must be in writing to Michael Maher by June 18, 2026.
Substantial completion of work for the President's House Patio is to be on or before November 1, 2026.
For each progress payment made prior to substantial completion of the work, five percent (5. 0%) shall be withheld as retainage from the payment. Final payment will be made no later than 30 days after the issuance of the architect's final certificate for payment.
Any merchandise provided under the contract which is, or becomes, defective during the guarantee period shall be replaced by the successful bidder free of charge.
The project will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder meeting the requirements. The college reserves the right to award contract on the basis of overall advantage to purchaser with respect to the aggregate of separate items and estimated overall requirements, and may award separate items to different vendors.
In determining the qualifications of a bidder, the college will consider his record in the performance of any contracts for similar services or products. The college may make such investigation as it deems necessary to determining the ability of the bidder to perform the terms of the contract.
A pre-bid meeting will be held on June 15, 2026, at 10:00 AM. Although not mandatory, this visit is recommended.
All communications and any clarifications or interpretations of the bidding documents shall be directed, in writing, to Michael Maher, Purchasing Agent, by e-mail June 18, 2026.
Bids which have been corrected by white out or cross out, and have not been initialed and dated will be rejected as unresponsive. Failure to provide necessary information for substitution alternates will be sufficient reason for rejection of bid. Noncollusive bidding certification form must be filled out and returned with bid; failure to do so can disqualify bidder.
