This is a one-year extension of four existing IDIQ contracts for the BPN Preclinical Testing and Toxicology Program (PTTP). The extension is to allow for the completion of ongoing and near-term pharmacology and toxicology studies while the follow-on requirement is competitively recompeted. No increase to contract ceiling value, scope, or performance areas is included. The ordering period is extended from September 13, 2026, through September 12, 2027.

Contractors must be approved to perform pharmacokinetic, non-glp, and glp-enabling toxicology studies. each incumbent was competitively awarded its position under the pttp idiq and has been evaluated and approved to perform pharmacokinetic, nonglp, and glpindenabling toxicology studies.

Allowing contracts to lapse would require revalidation of methods and protocols, resulting in duplicative costs and delays. allowing these idiq contracts to lapse and potentially transitioning this inprogress work to different contractors would require revalidation of methods and protocols and, in some cases, synthesis of a new test article batch resulting in duplicative costs and delay.
