This information will carry forward to a contract if awarded, therefore please ensure all information is correct. ** Entire Official Bid Document and Bid Bond ( if required) should be combined as one PDF and uploaded** The scope of this project encompasses the selective demolition and subsequent renovation of three ( 3) exterior concrete stairs/ramps located at the CHR and Health Services Building in Frankfort, KY. Site A- Approx. 1, 600 sf, Site B- Approx. 700 sf, Site C- Approx. 1, 200 sf Scope includes site clearing, selective demolition, new concrete paving, stairs and ramp, new handrails and guardrails, and site restoration. Work at Site A, shall follow The Secretary of the Interior Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties. The work here includes salvage existing granite stairs, provide selective granite crack repair and reset granite as indicated on drawings. All sites where concrete is recommended to be replaced, the design team has considered durable replacement options related to concrete mix, reinforcing and rail embedment. High performance concrete mix with additives, sealers, non- corrosive reinforcement and proper design for drainage will be used to increase the lifespan compared to standard concrete stairs using typical mix. Repair and improve the existing gym facility by correcting damage caused by sanitary sewer backup, restoring safe and functional conditions, and completing required interior and equipment related repairs. Remove all exercise equipment from the gym and foyer and store. Disassemble reassemble as necessary. Prior to storing disinfect clean the feet of all equipment. An area in the parking lot near the door will be set aside for the contractor to provide a storage container. Dispose of the existing water fountain. Dispose of black mats. Remove the existing vct tile, glue etc. Fill 100 lf of cracks in the concrete floor. Grind out the cracks deep and wide. Clean and fill with an approved concrete crack filler per manufacturers recommendations. Polish the concrete floor. Complete passes each with 40 grit and 80 grit two passes each so the floor is smooth and polished but must have roughness not to be slippery when walked on. The floor is approximately 725 sf. Seal the concrete with a minimum of two coats of sealer

Site F- Approx. 7, 000 sf, Site G- Approx. 2, 010 sf, Site H- Approx. 2, 700 sf Scope includes site clearing and selective demolition, new concrete paving and stairs, new handrails and guardrails, and site restoration. All sites where concrete is recommended to be replaced, the design team has considered durable replacement options related to concrete mix, reinforcing and rail embedment. High performance concrete mix with additives, sealers, non- corrosive reinforcement and proper design for drainage will be used to increase the lifespan compared to standard concrete stairs using typical mix. There is localized historic masonry repair required at Sites F- H that shall follow The Secretary of the Interior Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties. The work here includes selective granite crack repair and limited patch/repair of ( 2) two areas of existing limestone veneer at sites F, G and repointing adjacent historic materials to new concrete stair replacement at sites F, G and H as needed.
