Sealed bids for new canopy installation on an as-needed basis for Mobile County Public Schools. Bids due October 9, 2026 at 10:00 AM. Award on lump sum basis. Delivery within 8 weeks of purchase order. One-year contract with possible two-year renewal. Maximum project value $100,000. Bidders must be full-time canopy installers or authorized dealers. General contractor's license required. One-year warranty. Payment within 30 days, with Visa virtual card option. Work completion within 75 calendar days.
All items quoted shall be delivered 8 weeks after vendor receipt of purchase order.
Payment will be made in accordance with terms of payment in the minimum specifications, approximately thirty 30 days from final approvals of receipts and verified invoices.
The bidder further warrants all items for a period of one year, unless otherwise stated, from the date of acceptance of the items delivered and installed or work completed.
The board will award bid on a lump sum basis.
Bids will be accepted only from firms engaged on a fulltime basis in the canopy installation and supply business and must be the manufacturer or the manufacturers authorized sales dealer.
In the event the bidder fails to deliver within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the board, the right is reserved to cancel the award and subsequent purchase order and purchase from the next lowest responsible bidder the items needed.
Bidders will not be required to furnish samples at the time of bid opening, unless specifically called for.
Any protest to the boards consideration of any bid must be submitted in writing and received by the purchasing director no later than five 5 calendar days after awarding date of the bid.
Bidders may be disqualified and rejection of proposals may be recommended for any of but not limited to the following causes: failure to use the bid forms furnished by the board of school commissioners, lack of signature by an authorized representative on the bid form, failure to properly complete the bid form and vendor compliance, default on previous contracts, evidence of collusion among bidders, unauthorized alteration of the bid form.
