The time of completion for the project is sixty 60 calendar days from the date of the notice to proceed.

The city will pay the contractor a sum equal to 100 percent 100 of the compensation set forth herein, less the total of all previous partial payments, paid or in the process of payment. Final payment of retainage withheld will not be made sooner than ninety 90 days after project completion.

The winning contractor will be required to provide an eighteen month 18 warranty on all work completed.

Award will be made to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder.

Bids will be considered only from experience and well equipped contractors engaged in work of this type and magnitude. The contractor must be listed on the current Georgia Department of Transportation prequalified contractors list and must provide a copy of company certificate of qualification in the bid package. Bidder should provide a minimum of 5 years of verifiable years of experience project listing in road patching, and resurfacing.

The parties agree that in the event the contractor fails to perform within the specified contract period the contractor shall pay the city liquidated damages andor default of contract in accordance with section **** and **** of the Georgia Department of Transportation standard specifications, for each calendar day in excess of the contract time until the project is considered substantially complete by the city.

A prebid conference will be held at woodehaven at chattahoochee townhomes off of peachtree industrial boulevard in duluth, georgia ****, on thursday, june 4, 2026 at 10:00 a. m.

Deadline for questions is friday, june 12, 2026 at 5 p. m.

The work shall be commenced on a date to be specified in a written order of the parish and shall be completed within intcompletiontime calendar days from and after said date.

Monthly certificates for partial payment shall be transmitted to the parish upon receipt from the contractor and acceptance by the parish. When the contract price is less than five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000), these certificates shall be equal to ninety percent (90%) of both the work performed and materials stored at the site. Partial payment certificates shall include only work, materials and equipment that are included in an official work order and which meet the requirements of plans, specifications and contract documents. The final payment certificate of the remaining ten percent (10%) of the contract price, minus any deduction for deficient or defective work or other applicable deductions, will be issued by the parish forty-five (45) days after filing acceptance in the mortgage office of the parish and a clear liens and privilege certificate has been secured.

The performance bond forming part of the contract shall be continued by contractor and its surety for a period of one (1) year from date of acceptance of the work/project by the parish to assure prompt removal and replacement of all defective material, equipment, components thereof, workmanship, etc. , and to assure payment of any damage to property of the parish or others as a result of such defective materials, equipment, workmanship, etc.

The parish reserves the right to accept or reject any or all quotes submitted or to cancel this quote request if it is in the best interest of the parish to do so.

The contractor shall provide competent, suitably qualified personnel to survey and lay out the work and perform construction as required by the contract documents.

Failure to complete or deliver within the time specified or to provide the services as specified in the bid or response will constitute a default and may cause cancellation of the contract.

Each respondent shall visit the site of the proposed work and fully acquaint itself with all surface and subsurface conditions as they may exist so that it may fully understand this quote request.

Samples of materials furnished under the contract shall be submitted for approval to the parish when and as directed.
