The City of Jersey City is re-issuing a solicitation for bids for the purchase of new, retrofit, ADA compliant recreational vehicles (RVs) equipped with Wi-Fi access. These vehicles will support the health outreach bus program, delivering essential health services to at-risk and unhoused residents. Sealed bid proposals will be received, opened, and read in public on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at 11:00 a. m. Bids must be submitted to 280 Grove Street, First Floor, Room 116, Jersey City, NJ **** documents and bid forms can be downloaded from www. ***. *. * must comply with N. J. S. A. 10:5-31 et seq. , N. J. A. C. 17:27, and ****, c. 57. Proposals must be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check for 10% of the bid, not to exceed $20,**** bids are to be delivered to the dedicated lockbox prior to bid reception. Failure to download bid specifications and acknowledge addenda will result in rejection. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
Bids must be received by the purchasing agent no later than 11:00 a. m. on Tuesday, August 4, 2026.
The contractor will be entitled to monthly payments for services supplied in the previous month. Invoices are to be issued on or before the first of each month for approval. All payments will then be submitted for approval by the municipal council at the next meeting. Failure to satisfy this schedule shall not entitle the contractor to interest charges, penalties or any other type of escalation of the invoiced amount.
Warranty of one (1) year/12,000 miles, whichever comes first, for manufacturers defects in materials and workmanship. Refer to the warranty statement for details of warranty coverage.
The contract, if awarded, will be awarded to the lowest responsible, qualified bidder whose bid complies with the requirements as stated herein.
Bids from bidders who are found to be unqualified and bids not accompanied by all required and properly completed bid proposals and bid documents shall be rejected.
A contractor, subcontractor or supplier who fails to provide proof of business registration or provides false business registration information shall be liable to a penalty of **** for each day of violation, not to exceed $50,**** for each business registration not properly provided or maintained.
Any objection subsequent to the opening of bids will not be considered.
Failure to download bid specifications and acknowledge receipt of addenda shall result in bid rejection. A contractor whose lobbyist failed to comply with the provisions of ordinance 39. 1 et. seq. shall be disqualified from entering into contracts with the city for a period of two (2) years for each violation.
