This is a bid invitation from Douglas County School District **** Omaha Public Schools for ten (10) Cook and Hold Hot Boxes. Bids must be submitted by email to ***@***. *. * by 2:00 PM CT on May 19, 2026. Questions regarding the bid must be submitted via email to ***@***. *. * by May 12, 2026. The bid price must include product and delivery. Bidders must submit bids on the unaltered OPS bid form and include all required attachments in PDF format, such as product specifications, warranty information, and safety data sheets. Samples may be required with the bid submission. The bid opening will be held publicly via Microsoft Teams meeting or in person at **** Cuming Street, Omaha, NE **** immediately following the bid submission deadline.
The bid must be received by 2:00 PM Central Time on May 19, 2026. Late bids will not be accepted or considered.
Invoices will not be submitted to OPS until the products furnished to OPS that are included in the invoice have been delivered, installed and accepted by OPS at the delivery point. Payments are generally issued the Tuesday following the board meetings on the first and third Mondays of a month.
The product requested in the bid documents must meet the minimum warranty as noted within the product specifications, if any. The warranty summary must be separately described in an attachment to the bid form and include a description of the warranty coverage, the warranty duration, how warranty claims are processed, and the method for determining warranted manufacturing defects versus negligence, misuse or abuse.
The award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder meeting all specifications and requirements of the bid documents. The lowest responsible bidder will not always be the bidder who has submitted the lowest monetary bid. Award of bids will be made in the best interest of OPS.
Bidders must be qualified suppliers capable of performing the contract with OPS if awarded the bid and can meet the needs and requirements of OPS. They must understand the requirements of the bid documents.
If the contractor fails or refuses to perform the contract or purchase order according to its terms, or otherwise defaults in the performance thereof, OPS may terminate the contract or purchase order. Any additional costs incurred by OPS in obtaining such products or services from a substitute contractor shall be paid by the contractor to OPS, in addition to any other damages that OPS may have suffered due to such default.
If required by the bid documents, bidders must submit product samples with the submission of its bid. Timely delivery of samples to OPS shall be the responsibility of the bidder and must be received no later than the deadline for submission of bids.
