Applications are being accepted for a program to replace older, non-zero-emission class 6 and 7 heavy-duty vehicles with zero-emission alternatives. Applications must be submitted online through South Coast AQMD's grant management system (August 15, 2025 - September 30, 2025). The program provides rebates for the replacement of goods movement vehicles. Applicants must be currently compliant with applicable fleet truck regulations, be the current registered owner of the vehicles being retired, and enter into a written agreement with South Coast AQMD. The retiring vehicle must be powered by diesel or gasoline, have an engine model year of **** or newer, and be compliant and registered in the California Air Resources Board's TRUCRS database. The replacement vehicle must be brand new and battery-electric powered. The agreement includes requirements for inspections, scrapping of the retiring vehicle, and annual reporting. Payment will be made upon review and approval of documentation.
