The City of Berkeley is seeking proposals for rebranding services for the Berkeley Public Library. The project involves developing and implementing a comprehensive rebranding strategy, including discovery research, brand strategy development, visual identity development, brand guidelines, and implementation support. Proposals are due by 2:00 PM on Thursday, May 21, 2026, and must be submitted via email. Key evaluation criteria include project approach, expertise, references, cost, and creativity. The contract term is expected to commence in June 2026 and be completed within nine months. Vendors must comply with various city ordinances, including nondiscrimination, nuclear-free, oppressive states, sanctuary city, and living wage requirements. The library will make payment to the vendor within 30 days of receipt of a correct, approved and complete invoice.
The following criteria will be considered, although not exclusively, in determining which firm is hired: project approach 30%, expertise references 30%, costs 10%, creativity strategic insights 30%.
Proposals must be submitted by qualified firms or individuals for rebranding services for the Berkeley Public Library system.
