The Town of Estes Park invites bids for the construction of the Fall River Trail final segment, a 0. 8-mile, 10-foot wide, reinforced colored concrete multimodal path, including 5 retaining walls and a transit bus pad. The bid opening is scheduled for September 10, 2026, at 2:00 pm. Bids must be submitted via BidNet. A bid guarantee of 5% of the total bid amount is required. The successful bidder must provide insurance certificates and bonds within ten days of the notice of award. An optional prebid conference is scheduled for August 27, 2026.
The performance bond shall guarantee the repair or replacement where required, or the cost thereof, for a period of two years after the issuance of the notice of construction acceptance or until all warranty work is completed, whichever occurs last.
The town reserves the right to accept the bid which in the opinion of the town will best suit the towns purpose.
Bidders must furnish a complete statement of the bidders experience and of the amount of capital and equipment available for the proposed work on the bidders qualification and data form.
If the successful bidder fails to enter into a contract, the bid guarantee shall be forfeited to the town of estes park as liquidated damages.
Proposing firms are expected to visit the project site and use both the prebid conference and the written inquiry opportunities to obtain sufficient information to prepare a competitive bid.
The deadline for questions is 5: 00 pm september 1, 2026.
Bids may be rejected if they show any omission, alteration of form, additions not called for, conditional alternate bids, or irregularities of any kind which, in the opinion of the town, tend to make the bid indefinite or ambiguous.
