The City of Middletown is seeking bids for piping, hydrants, manholes, valves, fittings, and other appurtenances for the Water and Sewer Department. Bids must be submitted by Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at 11:00 am. The contract term is twelve months, commencing on or after November 1, 2026. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder per category. Bids must comply with equal opportunity and nondiscriminatory provisions. Technical specifications are detailed for various items.
The required delivery time is within ten consecutive calendar days from receipt of an approved purchase order.
Payment terms are preferred as net 30 days.
The bidder shall guarantee the items to be free of defects in materials and workmanship for the period considered unless specifically called for in the warranty.
The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder, as determined under the factors to be considered in section 789 f2, as amended, of middletown code of ordinances.
The city shall review the bidders skill, ability and integrity to perform the work as specified, the bidders professional references if required, the bidders reputation, information discovered during interview process if applicable and whether the city in its sole discretion determines that awarding the bid to the bidder will be in the best interest of the city.
Failure to meet required delivery time shall constitute default on delivery requirements pursuant to this contract and to the owner provide a uniform basis for the comparison of bids.

Bids received after the time set for the bid opening will not be considered, and no bid may be withdrawn for a period of ninety 90 days subsequent to the opening of bids without the city of middletowns written consent.
