The Navajo Nation Department of Child Care and Development is seeking proposals for weed control services at 19 child care centers. Proposals are due July 9, 2025, by 5:00 PM MDT. Vendors must be licensed, bonded, and have general liability insurance. A written work plan schedule is required, along with MSDS information for chemicals used. The awarded contractor will be responsible for all damage to DCCD property and disposal of waste to an approved EPA landfill. The contract term is approximately three years with an option for a negotiable contract or purchase order. Evaluation criteria include technical proposal factors (equipment, expertise, implementation plan, approach to scope of work, service delivery, inspection, credentials, past performance, staff training, education, and experience) and cost factors. The Navajo Nation reserves the right to incorporate standard contract provisions and comply with Navajo Nation law, rules, and regulations, including the Navajo preference in employment act, the Navajo nation business opportunity act, and applicable federal law.

The tender is for the rental of heavy equipment. Bidders must provide equipment in satisfactory operating condition, capable of efficiently and safely performing the designated work. An inspection of the equipment will be conducted at the beginning and end of each rental period. If the equipment breaks down, the contractor must repair or replace it within 48 hours. The rental period will be extended by the number of days the equipment is non-operational. The equipment must be returned in the same condition and with the same fuel levels as it was received. Insurance requirements include workers' compensation, public liability, and property damage insurance. The minimum amounts of coverage are $250,000 per person and $1,000,000 per occurrence for bodily injury, including death, and $250,000 per person and $1,000,000 per occurrence for property damage. The contract term is until December 31, 2025. Bids must include a properly executed reciprocal limitations act form, a workers protection and investment certification form, and literature providing the manufacturer, model, and specifications for each piece of equipment. Payment will be made upon satisfactory rental of the equipment for each requested rental period via ACH (direct deposit).
