Bids are due by November 5, 2026 at 10:30 AM. The anticipated start date, weather permitting, is November 23, 2026. The bidder must state its proposed start date and anticipated number of calendar days to complete the work.
Payment shall be based on the accepted contract amount and shall be subject to satisfactory completion of the scope, required inspections, closeout documentation and correction of deficiencies. A $1,500 demolition cash bond is required, refundable after inspections and approval.
The city intends to award the work to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, subject to review and approval of the complete bid package, qualifications, licensing, insurance, references, proposed scope, schedule and compliance with city requirements.
Contractor must provide a current michigan builders license, certificate of insurance, workers compensation coverage, automobile liability coverage, and at least three references if not previously performed work for the city.
Bidders are strongly encouraged to inspect the property before submitting a bid to assess building condition, utility locations, adjacent structures, pavement, grades, and other conditions affecting the work.
Bids must remain valid for at least 60 calendar days after the bid due date. The city reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive minor informalities, or select another responsive and responsible bidder when it determines that doing so is in the city's best interest.
