Chippewa County is seeking proposals for a new LTO 9 tape library system. Proposals must be submitted by 2:00 PM EST on August 29, 2025. The proposal must include detailed technical specifications of hardware and software, including relevant FIPS certification, on-premises or remote installation of hardware, installation of software, licensing, and activation, delivery timeline and installation plan, targeting and connectivity to systems that house data, testing of backup and restore operations, assistance/training with implementing best-practice utilization and configuration, job setup and scheduling, rotation, and testing, hardware and software documentation, and the system will be turnkey, with full 100% functionality. The successful firm will be required to provide and maintain public and professional liability, property damage, and workers compensation insurance. The county reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to negotiate separately with any source. The county will consider the ability, capacity, and skill of the respondent, promptness of service, character, integrity, reputation, judgment, experience, efficiency, quality of performance of previous engagements, compliance with laws and ordinances, financial resources, number and scope of conditions attached to the bid, and potential conflicts of interest. If all bids are reasonably equivalent, Chippewa County vendors will be given preference.
Proposals must be received on or before 2:00 pm EST, August 29th, 2025 to be considered.
The hardware warranty should be a minimum of 5 years and renewable up to 7. Service and support must be provided by the manufacturer or certified manufacturer servicesupport center.
The county will consider the ability, capacity, and skill of the respondent to provide the items as required, whether the bidder can fulfill the purchase and provide service promptly without delay or interference, the character, integrity, reputation, judgment, experience and efficiency of the bidder, the quality of performance of previous engagements with the bidder, previous and existing compliance by the bidder with applicable laws and ordinances, the sufficiency of the financial resources and ability of the bidder to provide the requested server, the number and scope of conditions attached to the bid, any potential conflicts of interest between bidders and the county governing body and staff, and the quality and performance, reputation, of the products being proposed by the bidder.
