The Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) is seeking bids for the replacement of two existing 700 series Shawbox hoists and trolleys with two new 800 series or equivalent hoists and trolleys. The installation will take place at the Giddings Metrology Laboratory. Bids are due by 3:00 PM CT on August 24, 2026. The contract term is from the effective date through August 31, 2027. Bidders must submit responses electronically to ***@***. *. * evaluation criteria will be based on the best value to the state, considering price and adherence to requirements. A Hub Subcontracting Plan (HSP) is required for all bidders.
The estimated response due date is August 24, 2026, at 3:00 PM CT. Bidders are responsible for ensuring their electronic response is received by TDA before this deadline.
Payment will be made in accordance with the Texas Prompt Payment Act, typically within thirty (30) days after receipt of a properly prepared invoice or the receipt and acceptance of services, whichever is later.
The contractor shall provide a minimum one (1) year warranty starting upon completion of installation of equipment, including parts and labor coverage.
TDA shall make an award to the bidder that provides the best value to the state of Texas, which includes consideration of the purchase price and whether the bidder meets all requirements of the solicitation.
Bidders must provide detailed information to substantiate their qualifications, experience, and past performance necessary to provide the deliverables requested. They must also have a current Texas Identification Number and be current in all required business filings.
Default in promised delivery days without accepted reasons or failure to meet specifications authorizes the agency to purchase goods and services elsewhere and charge any increased costs to the contractor.
If a bidder wishes to file a protest, they may formally do so in accordance with the rules adopted by TDA at Texas Administrative Code, Title 4, Part 1, Chapter 1, Subchapter Q.
Failure to sign the document, failure to periodically check the Electronic State Business Daily (ESBD) for updates, or failure to complete and submit the Hub Subcontracting Plan (HSP) may result in disqualification.
