The bid is for the management, transportation, and disposal of whole tires from Polk County's solid waste division. Bids must be submitted by December 31, 2025, at 2:00 PM. Questions must be submitted by December 22, 2025, at 4:00 PM. The county will consider local and vendor preferences. The successful bidder must provide insurance and comply with safety regulations. The period of performance is from the date of award through December 30, 2026, with possible renewals. The vendor must register in the vendor database and possess a Polk County local business tax receipt. The vendor must provide a copy of the FDEP waste tire collector registration and waste tire processing facility permit if applicable. The vendor must provide three references from clients in which the bidder has performed similar size and scope services as the prime vendor, within the past three 3 years.
The vendor must pick up waste tires containerstrailers within two 2 business days of the request from pcswd or as otherwise agreed by pcswd. pcswd will contact the vendor when a minimum of one containertrailer of waste tires is available to be picked up.
