The town will pay within 30 days of receipt of invoice and acceptance. As stated: the town agrees to make all reasonable efforts to pay to the contractor the sum set forth in the contractors bid or proposal within thirty 30 days of receipt of an invoice detailing the work completed and acceptance from the town of the work completed.

The contractor guarantees work is free from faults and defects. As stated: the work will be of good quality, free from faults and defects and in strict conformance with this contract.

The contract is awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. As stated: the town will award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.

Bidders must provide three references for similar work within the last five years. As stated: Bidder must provide a minimum of three 3 references for whom they have completed contracts for work similar in size and scope to this project within the last five 5 years.

Liquidated damages of $1,000 per day for delay. As stated: the sum of one thousand dollars 1, 000 per day for each calendar day of delay until the work is completed.

A site walkthrough is scheduled and highly encouraged. As stated: a site walk through is highly encouraged and is scheduled for october 16th at 10am first starting at the holliston high school and then stoddard park.

Questions regarding bid must be submitted in writing by October 21, 2026. As stated: any prospective contractor bidder requesting an interpretation of existing specifications of terms and conditions must do so in writing by october 21, 2026.

Late bids will not be considered. As stated: late bids will not be considered. Also, failure to complete required forms may result in rejection: failure to complete the required forms, answer any questions, or provide the required documentation will result in the bid being deemed nonresponsive and will result in rejection by the town.

The prebid conference site visit is optional, scheduled for Tuesday, September 29, 2026 at 10:00 am.

The estimated construction cost is 220,****.

Proposals will be received until noon EST on Monday, October 5, 2026.

The town agrees to make all reasonable efforts to pay to the contractor the sum set forth in the contractors proposal within thirty 30 days of receipt of an invoice detailing the services provided and acceptance from the town of said services.

The contract will be awarded to that proposer deemed by the town manager and/or its designees to have submitted the most advantageous proposal taking into consideration all of the technical proposal criteria and proposers interviews if conducted in addition to the price proposals.

Evaluation of technical proposals will be based on weighted, comparative criteria described in this section, including firm consultant experience.

Inquiries involving procedural or technical matters, and or questions related to the request for proposals shall be submitted in writing to the select boards office and received no later than three 3 business days prior to the time the proposals are due.

Failure to submit documents requested may result in the towns determination that a proposal is nonresponsive unless the town deems such a failure to be a minor informality.

Respondents must submit a brief description of relevant trail assessment, GIS, and natural resource experience.
