Project: Alhambra Fire Department Station 73 Parking Lot Improvement. Bids due July 30, 2026, 10:30 AM. Mandatory job walk on July 7, 2026, 10:00 AM at **** W Main Street, Alhambra, CA **** construction cost: $150,**** must be licensed and registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR). Work completion within 90 working days of notice to proceed. Liquidated damages of **** per calendar day for delays. 5% retention from progress payments. Bid bond of 10% required.
The contractor shall complete the work within ninety 90 working days of the effective date of city's notice to proceed with construction.
The city will deduct a 5 percent retention from all progress payments.
Contractor guarantees all materials and equipment furnished and work performed for a period of one 1 year from the date of substantial completion is free from all defects due to faulty materials or workmanship.
The award of contract, if made, will be to the lowest responsible bidder as determined solely by the city.
No bid will be accepted from a contractor who has not been licensed in accordance with the provisions of the business and professions code. Contractors and subcontractors are also required to be registered with the california department of industrial relations dir.
Failure to complete the project on time will result in liquidated damages of five hundred dollars **** a calendar day.

Prebid inquiries must be submitted via email by 5:00 pm on Wednesday, July 8, 2026.
Unauthorized conditions, limitations, or provisions attached to a proposal will render it irregular and may cause its rejection. In the event that any bidder acting as a prime contractor has an interest in more than one proposal, all such proposals will be rejected, and the bidder will be disqualified.
The estimated construction cost is 150,**** for the base bid work.
