Project involves concrete removal and replacement, excavation, and related work. Bids are due July 30, 2026, at 2:00 PM local time. Contractors must demonstrate experience with at least two qualifying projects valued at a minimum of $500,000 each, performed for government agencies within the last 5 years. A 5% bid bond is required. The town reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
The project must be substantially completed on or before September 11, 2026. All bids shall specify the anticipated starting and completion dates.
The performance bond guarantees repair or replacement for a period of two years after the issuance of the certificate of acceptance or until all warranty work is completed, whichever occurs last.
Award shall be made to the lowest and/or best bidder as determined by the town in its sole discretion.
The contractor shall demonstrate successful completion of at least two qualifying projects of similar scope within the last 5 years, valued at a minimum of $500,**** each, performed for federal, state, or local government agencies.
If the successful bidder fails to enter into a contract or furnish required bonds within ten days from notice of award, the bid guarantee shall be forfeited to the town as liquidated damages.
Prospective bidders shall visit the site of the work and completely inform themselves relative to construction hazards and procedures, the availability of lands, the character and quantity of surface and subsurface materials, and utilities to be encountered.
Bidders may be disqualified for past failure to follow proper change order processes or failure to complete projects in a timely and/or professional work-like manner.
