The City of Winter Haven is seeking bids for improvements to Fire Station 2, funded by a Florida Commerce grant. The project must be completed 120 days from the notice to proceed, with liquidated damages of $5,000 per day after that date. Punch list items must be completed within 30 days of substantial completion. The project must pass an inspection by city staff to be considered complete. Additional work outside the initial plans may be contingent on change order agreements.

The County of Harnett, Community Development Division is soliciting bids for contractors qualified to provide major/minor house repairs. The County has two programs focusing on home repairs for very low-to-low income homeowners. Contractors may have potential project jobs for HVAC repairs, window replacement, minor plumbing repairs, floors, ramps, roofing, environmental sealing, etc. Responders are not required to have a NC general contractors license since the identified home rehabrepair proposals will be under $40,000. However, bidders are responsible to acquire permits for those trades requiring permits. Proposers must visit each potential work site in order to get a clear understanding of work requirements and associated bids. Proposals are due by 2:00 PM on June 2, 2025. Proposals may be hand-carried or delivered via FedEx or UPS to the Harnett County Resource Center and Library. Minimum insurance requirements are detailed in the notice. The contractor is hereby specifically made aware of the DCA lead-based paint regulations, which are applicable to the construction or rehabilitation of residential structures. Contractors must provide documentation that they possess any international, federal, state, county, and local licenses and/or permits needed to provide the services requested. The contractor shall indemnify, defend and hold harmless Harnett County, all county officials, and householders against any and all losses, claims, actions, damages, liability, and expenses. Required documents must be submitted electronically with the ebid proposal documents, and hard copy versions must be delivered within 24 hours of bid closing. The work consists of furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment for a job order contract (JOC) for general construction work. The JOC is for campuses within the CSU.
