Bids are solicited for the refurbishment of an existing tin baler located at the County Thruway Transfer Station. The work includes replacing hydraulic components, electrical control panel, PLC, sensors, and cylinders, as well as repainting and installing new signage. A mandatory site visit is required prior to bid submission. Bidders must provide one reference for a similar project. Pricing must be all-inclusive. Delivery is FOB destination, requested ASAP after notice of award. County terms of payment are 2 10 net 30. Awards will be made to the responsive bidder offering the lowest total price. Bids must be submitted sealed by 2 PM on July 1, 2026.
Delivery is requested ASAP after notice of award, receipt of purchase order, or authorized calls for delivery. Bidders guaranteed delivery is days. Note: delivery time may be a factor in determining the winning bidder.
County terms of payment are 2 10 net 30. Bidder may offer alternate terms here: discount and alternate terms will not be used in award determination.
All items delivered must be guaranteed against faulty materials and workmanship.
An award will be made to the responsive bidder offering the lowest total price meeting the requirements of this bid request.
One reference for a completed baler refurbishment, baler rebuild, or comparable solid waste processing equipment rehabilitation project of similar size and scope for a municipal, governmental, or institutional customer is required.
Failure to deliver items or equipment that do not meet county specifications or are not received within the specified delivery time may be cause for cancellation of the order and vendor declared irresponsible. Any additional costs incurred by the county may be charged to the original vendor.
Bidders must complete a site survey prior to submitting their bid at the County Thruway Transfer Station. Submissions without documented site visit dates will be deemed nonresponsive. Please contact Ira Landow at **** to schedule.
Vendors protesting or disputing bid specifications must do so in writing during the bid opening period prior to the due date to be considered. Such protests must be in the possession of the bureau of purchase and supplies three working days prior to the bids opening.
Failure to complete this bid in its entirety may result in disqualification. Copies obtained from any other source are not considered official documents and will be considered incomplete if missing addenda, if any, resulting in disqualification.
