This is a solicitation for a three-year firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) weld service contract for nickel-aluminum-bronze (NAB) casting weld repair services at Naval Foundry and Propeller Center (NFPC) facilities. Payment will be made by the government, and the contractor shall submit payment requests and receiving reports electronically through the Wide Area Workflow (WAWF) system. Specific document types for payment requests will depend on the contract line item number (CLIN) type (e. g. , cost-type, fixed-price).
The bid notice states that the award will be made to the lowest priced technically acceptable quote. The government may evaluate additional higher-priced quoters to support a fair and reasonableness determination.
Welders must be certified and possess a NAVSEA approved weld workmanship program and nondestructive testing (NDT) certification. They must have a minimum of one year of experience with welding NAB at depths of six inches or more and experience welding in confined spaces. For lead welders, one year of experience overseeing other welders is also required.
