Wayne State University is seeking proposals for inbound health insurance for international students and scholars for the **** academic year. The service is expected to commence on July 1, 2026, and the contract will be for a three-year period, with options for extension. Proposals must be submitted electronically by May 12, 2026, by 2:00 PM local time. An optional pre-proposal meeting will be held virtually on April 24, 2026. Invoices are due thirty (30) days after the university's receipt and approval of the invoice.
The successful insurance company shall warrant and represent that all software, delivered, or developed under the proposal shall be able to accurately process data.
Award will be based on the vendors ability to offer the best value quality, past performance and price, and on anticipated quality of service.
To qualify for evaluation, a vendors proposal must be responsive, must have been submitted on time and must materially satisfy all mandatory requirements identified throughout the rfp, in the judgment of the university.
Failure of the successful insurance company to comply with the specifications shall give the university the right to cancel after 30 days written notice and require that the company make prorata reimbursements to policyholders.
The pre-proposal meeting is optional and will be held virtually on April 24, 2026, at 11:00 AM Eastern Detroit Time.
