Grand Cut- To- Length Stewardship IRSC - This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 12. Using this format, no separate presolicitation is required and this announcement constitutes the only solicitation.

Grand Cut- to- Length Stewardship IRSC Integrated Resource Service Contract 1. Cut and remove included sawtimber. A cut- to- length CTL logging system shall be used. CTL technology typically consists of a harvester to cut and process trees at the stump and create slash mat. A forwarder then transports the material to a designated landing location on top of the slash mat. This logging system is required by the NEPA Record of Decision to protect soil and water quality. 2. Cut standing dead conifer trees and transport to landings. 3. Mechanically cut small diameter trees to and remove to landings. 4. In units 30 and 78, treat fuels by mechanically masticating existing dead and down material and project- generated slash. Remove slash and large dead and down to landings when necessary to meet the fuels treatment specification. 5. USDA Forest Service is reissuing a formal request for information ( RFI) in connection with the Nez Perce Clearwater National Forest End of the World ( EOTW) planning area, and potentially other areas across the Forest. The objectives of this initiative are to reduce the risks of insect and disease infestation, wildfires, and to restore and improve forest vegetation and water quality. A long term 10 year GZ integrated resource stewardship contract is being considered to implement treatments in the planning area. The intent of this RFI is to receive feedback from interested parties during the project development stage. Responses will inform the scope, structure, and feasibility of future solicitations. While no contract will be awarded from this RFI, feedback will directly influence project design.
