This is a solicitation for walkway light repairs and upgrades at Defense Supply Center Richmond (DSCR). The project includes installing new LED bollard lights, upgrading existing pole lights to LED, and repairing non-operational light poles. A site visit is recommended. Contractors must have a bona fide place of business within 125 miles of DSCR. Award will be made to the lowest priced, technically acceptable offeror. The period of performance is 90 days after notice to proceed.
Completion date shall be no later than 90 days after notice to proceed.
No payments above 80% of the total contract value will be paid until the work final inspection is complete and accepted.
A one-year written warranty letter is required after final acceptance of the entire project. The contractor shall physically respond on site within 2 business days after being notified of a warranty issue.
Award will be made to the lowest priced, technically acceptable (LPTA) offeror.
Contractors submitting proposals shall demonstrate a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in commercial repair work.
Liquidated damages shall be assessed for non-compensable delays wherein the work is not accepted prior to the scheduled completion date.
The contractor should conduct a site visit to each location to verify all measurements, sizes, interferences, quantity of material etc. for this project. It's the contractors responsibility to confirm all measurements. The contractor shall verify via email if they will be attending any scheduled site visit with the COR/PM at least 2 business days ahead of the site visit.
Submit technical specifications, product cut sheets, and up to three samples of the proposed LED bollard fixture for customer review and approval prior to material procurement and installation.
Failure to provide all required documents will result in the contractor's proposal/offer being technically unacceptable. Failure to meet safety guidelines may result in contract termination for cause.
