The School Board of Alachua County (SBAC) is seeking bids for intercom system equipment, repair parts, and service labor. Bids are due by February 19, 2026. The contract term is approximately two years, starting April 01, 2026, with possible renewals. The award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. The district will not request documentation of, consider, or give a preference based on the vendors social, political, or ideological interests. The district reserves the right to terminate the contract if the bidder is found to have submitted a false certification or is on the scrutinized companies list. The district will not pay incorrect invoices or late charges for invoices with disputed charges. The district representative shall report all performance related service complaints to the designated account representative. Consistent delays or unresponsiveness in addressing and resolving documented deficiencies in the performance of any part of this contract shall be recorded and considered in contract renewal evaluation as well as being a basis for contract termination.

The bid notice states, an award of contract shall be made for each specified intercom equipment manufacturer to the low, responsive and responsible bidder who, in the opinion of district, offers the: most competitive discountmarkup for intercom equipment, repair parts and materials that results in the lowest net delivered pricing to the district, burglar and fire alarm panels and lowest hourly labor rates for intercom system installation, modification, service and repair.
The bid notice states, for consideration of award, each prospective bidder shall meet the following criteria: a. established business: bidder shall be an established firm, licensed and insured, with demonstrated stability, whose sole or primary business includes the provision of installation, service, and repair services for one 01 or more of the manufacturer intercom systems specified herein.
