This is an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for the installation of galvanized chain link mezzanine security fencing for the Niagara County Sheriff's Office. Bids are due by June 18, 2026, at 2:00 PM. A mandatory pre-bid site inspection will be held on May 28, 2026. Questions must be submitted in writing by June 4, 2026. Bids can be submitted electronically via www. ***. *. * or by hardcopy. A non-collusion statement is required. Bidders must be aware of prevailing wage requirements. The county reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
The proposal submission deadline is June 18, 2026, at 2:00 PM. Late bids will be returned unopened.
Payment will be made forty-five (45) days or less after receipt of invoice. A final inspection and written approval from the owner's representative shall be required prior to invoicing.
Warranty coverage will be taken into consideration in determining the award of the bid, if in the best interest of the county.
Award of contract will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder meeting these specifications.
The successful bidder must be prepared, if requested, to furnish evidence, including documentary evidence where necessary, to establish proof of financial responsibility and ability to perform if awarded the bid. Experience of types of work completed as well as time for completion will be considered.
Should the bidder, if awarded the contract, fail to execute the agreement within ten (10) days in accordance with the proposal and other contract documents, the certified check or the bid bond amount shall be forfeited to the owner as liquidated damages caused by such failure.
The mandatory pre-bid site inspection will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at 9:00 AM. Attendees are required to meet at the visitor entrance of the Niagara County Jail.
Samples may be requested as a part of the solicitation or after the opening of bids/RFPs. When requested, they are to be furnished as called for, free of expense.
Questions regarding this bid may be directed to the Division of Purchasing no later than June 4, 2026, at 12:00 PM.
Bids shall be considered irregular for reasons including, but not limited to, being on a form other than that furnished by the county, unauthorized additions, or not being accompanied by the bid guaranty specified.
