The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking services for inspection, maintenance, testing, and repair of underground and above-ground storage tanks at the Edward Hines, Jr. VA Hospital. The contractor must be certified by the Illinois State Fire Marshall (OSFM) and adhere to federal, state, and local environmental regulations. A site visit is strongly suggested and scheduled for June 22nd, 2026. Questions must be submitted via email by June 23rd, 2026. The contract will be a firm fixed-price contract.
The contract period for the base year is from 09/01/2026 to 08/31/2027. Option periods extend up to 08/31/2031.
Payments will be made in arrears upon receipt of a properly prepared invoice, submitted electronically through the Tungsten Network. Payments shall be made in arrears upon receipt of a properly prepared invoice.
The contractor warrants and implies that the items delivered hereunder are merchantable and fit for use for the particular purpose described in this contract.
Firms submitting offers shall have been engaged in business of installing, repairing, testing, maintaining UST systems, and components verifying compliance with the Illinois State Fire Marshall and other regulatory offices for at least five (5) consecutive years. Contractors shall provide proof of Illinois Class A, B, and C UST certification.
Failure to comply with facility requirements shall be considered a material breach of this contract and may be a violation of federal law. Violations of VA regulations may result in citation answerable in the United States Federal District Court.
A site visit is scheduled for Tuesday, June 22nd, 2026, at 10:00 AM local time. It is strongly suggested and expected that the offeror inspect the campus to be serviced to fully understand the nature of the work and the conditions under which the work is to be performed.
Questions must be submitted in written form via email no later than Wednesday, June 23rd, at noon local time.
