The City of Niles, Michigan is seeking bids for pest management services at various city properties. A nonmandatory prebid meeting will be held on March 4th, 2026. Bids must be submitted by March 12th, 2026. The contract period is for 3 years, with possible extensions. The contractor must provide detailed service reports and maintain a pest management log. Emergency services are required within 24 hours. All bidders are required to sign a certification that they will comply with all federal and state nondiscrimination laws and regulations.
The contractor will begin work after approval and signing of the contract by the city and that he will prosecute it with all due diligence thereafter at such points and with such force and in such manner and at such rate as will bring the work to completion on a month to month basis as outlined in the proposal by the dates specified.
Payments are to be made to the contractor in accordance with and subject to the provisions embodied inthe document made part of this contract.
The final payment nor any provision in the contract document shall relieve the contractor of theresponsibility for negligence or faulty materials or workmanship within the extent and period provided by law, and, upon written notice, heshe shall remove any defects due thereto and pay for any damage dueto other work resulting there from, which shall appear within one year after date of completion andacceptance.
The city reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive irregularities in proposals and to acceptthe proposal, which in the opinion of the city council is most advantageous to the city.
The undersigned certifies that for the above referenced servicesproducts performed for orfurnished to the city of niles: 1. the undersigned does not discriminate in the purchase of materials or in thehiring of personnel, or in the subcontracting of personnel, on the basis of religion, race, color, national origin, sex, age or handicap.
A nonmandatory prebid meeting will be held at 10: 00 am on wednesday, march 4th, 2026 in the 3rd floorconference room at city hall, 333 n. 2nd st. niles, mi **** attending the meeting will be able toask specific questions regarding the specified work and will be able to schedule a walk through at eachspecified location.
