All contract personnel must have a valid state-issued photo identification card, be a US citizen, and have no criminal record to enter the installation. The contractor must comply with all OSHA, MO 10 CSR 60, and American Water Works Association (AWWA) guidelines. The contractor is responsible for keeping construction areas neat, secure, orderly, and in compliance with OSHA and MO DNR standards. The contractor will be responsible for cleanup upon project completion. The contractor shall become familiar with all details of the work, verify all dimensions in the field and specifications stated herein and shall advise contracting officer of any discrepancy before performing the work. All work to be accomplished during regularly established Whiteman AFB duty hours. The contractor must first accomplish these requirements: design, submit to MO DNR and receive an engineered stamped approved drawing. Submit and receive an approved construction permit through MO DNR. The contractor shall disconnect well piping and power to well motor. Using roof access, the contractor will remove 462ft of 4 galvanized steel well piping and well pump and motor. Each section of 4 steel piping is 21 feet in length. Once removed, contractor will perform televised underground survey to verify integrity of well casing and borehole. Any issues will be brought to the government's attention. Contractor will then reinstall new franklin motor or comparable all american made: 50hp 460v 3ph motor, and existing well pump. The current pump is believed to be in good condition, also reinstall the 462ft of 4 domestic galvanized piping, and add 5ea 21ft x 4d galvanized drop pipe to increase the overall well depth to appr. 567ft to ensure plenty of aquifer water above well pump when in operation. Also replace the two 4 stainless steel flomatic check valves with stainless steel nipples and couplings that were removed and add one addition check valve of same configuration due to the increased well depth. Install original motor wiring along with an additional 110ft of new 43 wg flat jacket wire along with new airline and gauge for calculation pumping and static water levels. Once the well pump is reinstalled the contractor will perform a 4hr pump test and provide the results to the government on a pumping test data sheet. Contractor shall ensure no contaminants are introduced into the well during their repairs. Contractor will remove and discard old motor and any other debris from site. Contractor shall file all required reports in accordance with MO DNR and AWWA where applicable.
