This statement of work (SOW) outlines the requirements for integrated waste management and
recycling services at the U. S. Embassy Pretoria and its annex. The
contractor must provide specific waste containers, sorting infrastructure, and handling of electronics, printer cartridges, and batteries. Weekly general waste collection, and three times per week
recycling sorting support are required. The contract term is one year with options for renewal. The quote must include rebate pricing details for recyclable materials, a detailed company profile, and evidence of industry certifications, past project success, and customer testimonials. The
contractor must comply with all applicable local, regional, and national environmental legislation, waste management bylaws, and health and safety regulations. A detailed site-specific safety plan is required, addressing hazard mitigation and control methods. The
contractor must ensure strict compliance with current safety regulations and the overall health and safety of personnel, avoiding any damage or injury. The
contractor must provide the names and phone numbers of all approved staff prior to gaining access to the site. Site access will only be granted to the approved
contractor and its subcontractors. All personal packages brought onto and/or removed from the U. S. Embassy property may be subject to inspection by security staff. The
contractor must submit a draft schedule at least one week in advance, and the U. S. Embassy will approve/disapprove and return the schedule within three working days. All requests for changes in scheduled work must be submitted via electronic communication at least one full workday prior to the scheduled work.
