This is a government sale for scrap deformed small arms fired cartridge casings. The solicitation is for one load only. Bids must be submitted by April 15, 2026, at 2:00 PM EST via fax or email. Interested bidders can arrange a visit to examine the materials or pick up small samples. Payment terms include 80% due at pickup and the balance within 15 calendar days. Transportation is the responsibility of the bidder. The government reserves the right to reject bids and may require 100% payment upfront if the bidder cannot be properly vetted.
The bidder agrees to pick up materials within ten 10 working days of the award date and signing the agreement. The Fort Knox Qualified Recycle Program shipping hours are from 7:30 a. m. until 2:30 p. m. EST, Monday through Friday except for federal holidays.
The bidder will be invoiced for the full amount due at the time of pick up. An amount equal to 80% of the award amount will be due at the time of pickup of material. After pickup, the bidder will be invoiced and shall furnish balance due within fifteen 15 calendar days from the date of pick up. Payment shall be in the form of a bank draft, cashiers check, certified check, travelers check, or postal money order. Payments must be made out to: U. S. Treasury Department.
Evaluations for award will be based on best price offered to the QRP.
The Fort Knox QRP reserves the right to require proof of active SAMs account, bidder's DUNS number and CAGE code in order to investigate the solvency of a bidder company.
If the bidder fails to pay for and/or remove property offered for sale herein within the time allowed by the agreement, the Fort Knox QRP will send the bidder a written ten 10 day notice of default calculated from the date of mailing, and upon bidder's failure to cure such default within the period, the bidder shall lose all rights, title, and interest which he may otherwise have acquired in and to such property as to which a default has occurred.
A visit by prospective bidders to examine/view the materials offered may be arranged by contacting the Fort Knox QRP at 502 ****, 8:00 a. m to 3:00 p. m. Eastern Standard Time EST Monday through Friday except for federal holidays.
Small samples are available and can be picked up at the Fort Knox Qualified Recycle Program at 309 Frazier Road Fort Knox, KY **** until one business day before bidding closes.
