Municipal Government Bids & RFPs

Proposals will be evaluated based upon factors including, but not necessarily limited to: demonstrated municipal finance and treasury experience, experience with michigan municipalities, qualifications and credentials of proposed personnel, understanding of the villages needs, proposed approach and availability, experience with municipal accounting and financial software, references, proposed fee structure and overall cost, ability to provide continuity and timely service and other factors determined by the village to be relevant to the provision of the requested services.

Minimum qualifications should include: professional experience in public finance or accounting, including experience working in a municipal government setting, knowledge of fund accounting principles, knowledge of governmental financial regulations and municipal finance practices, knowledge of tax reporting and municipal tax administration, knowledge of internal financial controls, familiarity with michigan treasury requirements and applicable michigan municipal finance laws, familiarity with michigan public act 20 and municipal investment requirements, experience with annual municipal audits, proficiency in bsa, and demonstrated ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with a village administrator, clerk, and village council. A bachelors degree in accounting, finance, public administration, or a related field is required for each contractor or subcontractor.

Contractors shall bill the town in twelve monthly invoices for each contract year. invoices shall be submitted by the third day of the month for work performed the previous month.

The award shall be made to a vendor whose response is most advantageous to the borough, price and other factors considered.

Professional licensure in good standing is required.
