Payment for goods/services arising out of the contract resulting from this solicitation and received by the city shall be processed within 30 days of receipt of a valid invoice.

The bidder shall state his normal warranty and any extended warranties where available. Excluding any manufacturers warranties and in addition to other warranties as provided by law or herein, all labor and materials are warranted to be free from defects for a minimum period of twentyfour 24 months after the date of final payment by the city.

Award of contract shall be made to the most responsive and responsible bidders whose proposal, conforming to the solicitation, is most advantageous to the city of charleston, price and other factors considered.

The city reserves the right to request satisfactory evidence of any bidders ability to furnish services in accordance with the terms and conditions listed herein.

Questions regarding this solicitation must be submitted in writing to gary cooper no later than 11: 00 a. m. on january 16, 2026.

The city estimates funding approximately 11, 529, **** under this program over an eighteen 18 month period effective from the date of execution of approved agreement.

The bid notice states attorneys interested in being retained to provide legal services in these areas, or any other area of practice which an attorney wishes to suggest might be needed, should submit a letter of interest together with a statement of qualifications which includes the following information: 1. the name, business address, telephone and fax numbers, and email address of the attorney. 2. the name of the law firm with which the attorney is affiliated, if any, the number of years the attorney has been with the firm, whether the attorney is a partner, shareholder or employee of the firm, and what, if any, special practice units are part of the firm. 3. a summary of the attorneys educational and employment background. 4. the jurisdictions state and courts in which the attorney is licensed and authorized to practice. 5. a brief description of other staff and facilities available to the attorney, including secretarial and paralegal support, and other attorneys. 6. the range of hourly rates charged by the attorney, and a summary of the types and amounts of costs charged by the firm. 7. the areas of practice in which the attorney is interested in being retained with a brief summary of the attorneys experience and types of casesmatters the attorney has handled.

The deadline for receipt of proposals is 2:00 p. m. local time, December 3, 2025.

Payment for work performed can be expected within 30 days after receipt of the invoice and satisfactory acceptance.

A formal agreement will be awarded to the vendor with the most responsible, responsive, reasonable proposal that is deemed most advantageous to town of lexington.

All vendors must meet or exceed the qualifications listed in the document, including experience and registration requirements.

Questions are due o later than 9:00 a. m, Tuesday, November 18, 2025.

The city anticipates full delivery of the project before December 15, 2025.

The payments are to be equal in amount and are to be charged on a semiannual basis starting February 1, 2026, with subsequent billings on each August 1, 2026, until a total of five 5 years of payments are made on the fire vehicle and fifteen 15 years of payments are made on the dump truck.

The city will award a contract to the proposer who provides services at the best value to the city.

The city will select the offeror that provides the best value to the city.

All requests for an interpretation of the rfp must be made in writing and received by the department of finance, by fax or email preferred, up to seven days prior to bid opening.
