Fruit Yogurt Government Bids & RFPs

The bid notice states that chilled dairy products must be delivered with a remainder of shelf life as specified, and items from freezer storage must be delivered within 90 days from the date of pack. Deliveries shall be made on the dates and at the times specified in the contract, and vendors shall obtain prior approval for any schedule changes from the director of dietary services or delivery may be rejected.

The bid notice states that the vendor agrees that the commonwealth will accept and pay only for actual net weight or count determined at the time of delivery. Vendor shall indicate at the time of delivery any discrepancies between actual net weight or count and the contracted amount and record the discrepancy on the delivery slips.

The bid notice states that vendors must have no unpaid laboratory fees in order to be eligible for award. Products and brands not previously approved by the food specification committee will not be acceptable.

The bid notice states that if laboratory analysis verifies the ingredients do not meet the specified requirements, the cost of analysis will be charged to the vendor with the product subject to rejection by the facility.

The bid notice states that the vendor shall permit the facility to submit samples for laboratory analysis. Samples must be properly labeled and identified with name of bidder and applicable item name, corresponding specification number and name and ingredient statement. Failure to comply with the requested information may be cause for rejection of request for evaluation.

The bid notice does not specify a delivery deadline for the products or services. The response to this RFI is requested by close of business on April 28, 2026.

The bid notice states that the agency intends to make one award per group, and offerors are required to propose on all items for each group they offer on. Failure to do so may result in a proposal being deemed technically unacceptable. The contracting officer is not obligated to initiate negotiations, and each offeror shall submit its most competitive proposal for each group it has chosen to propose on, which shall be responsive to all requirements and free from deficiencies.

The bid notice states that specific quality requirements per item are included in the schedule of items attachment 1. When proposing in response to a solicitation, failure to propose the specified quality requirement per item as identified in attachment 1 may render an offeror's proposal technically unacceptable. If the items description in attachment 1 does not provide a specific quality grade, the minimum quality grade that is required to meet the terms of this solicitation is USDA grade number 1.

The contractor must be able to deliver these items upon 15 day prior notice at a specified 30 time based on operational requirements. These items must be available for delivery twenty four 24 hours per day, seven 7 days per week during winter operations October April yearly.

Offerors must be currently registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) and be a small business concern to be considered for award.
