The City of Long Beach is seeking an experienced electrical contractor to furnish and install the complete electrical infrastructure for a temporary amphitheater. The project includes the installation of a main switchboard, distribution panels, site and stage lighting, and other electrical components. Proposals are due October 23, 2025. A site walk is optional on August 28, 2025. The contract will be for a period of one year. The awarded contractor must comply with all applicable provisions of the California Labor Code, including adherence to prevailing wage requirements and active registration with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR). The project will have a not to exceed amount of $2,225,000. 00. The city will remit payment within 30 calendar days of being billed. The city shall apply five extra credit percentage points to all local businesses operating a homebased, residential business and ten extra credit percentage points to all local businesses operating a nonresidential, commercial, brickandmortar business.
The contractor must complete the work and achieve completion by December 31, 2025, according to the bid notice.
The city will remit payment within 30 calendar days of being billed, as stated in the bid notice.
The contractor shall provide a minimum one-year warranty on all workmanship, according to the bid notice.
The award will be made to the proposer offering the best overall value to the city, based on a combination of cost and qualitative factors, as outlined in the evaluation criteria section 3. 2, according to the bid notice.
The minimum requirements proposers must meet to be eligible are the following: qualification to conduct business in the city not having been debarred by federal, state or local government mandatory experience necessary minimum experience or references c10 electrical contractors state license, c7 low voltage systems contractor, either a c10 electrical contractor license class a or class b, according to the bid notice.
Contractor and subcontractors are subject to penalties, including, but not limited to, under labor code ****, ****, **** and ****, for failure to comply with labor code **** et seq, according to the bid notice.
The optional sitewalk is on August 28, 2025 at 10:00 AM, according to the bid notice.
A proposer desiring to submit a protest for a proposal must do so within five 5 business days of the electronic notification of intent to award, according to the bid notice.
