The existing system uses a Notifier SFP10UD conventional fire alarm control panel with associated devices and cellular monitoring. The base bid shall eliminate reliance on legacy copper phone lines. Contractors must evaluate detector coverage in resident rooms and accessory storage spaces and replace any obsolete, incompatible, or unreliable devices with addressable devices. Existing wiring may be reused if NEC and manufacturer-compliant, but deficient wiring must be replaced. The scope of work includes all labor, materials, permits, programming, testing, coordination, and closeout documentation. Fire alarm protection must remain active at all times or be managed through owner and AHJ-approved impairment procedures. Submittals include shop drawings, device matrix, calculations, programming database, as-builts, acceptance testing, and warranties. Training sessions for operators and facilities maintenance are required, along with quick-reference sheets and a recorded session. A minimum 1-year parts and labor warranty is required, with options for extended warranties. Contractor qualifications include being a factory-authorized Notifier dealer/installer with 5 comparable institutional/lab installations, NICET II minimum for the lead field technician, and being licensed in Missouri. Bids must be valid for 60 days. The bid will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
