The US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Marine Design Center (MDC), is seeking information on the capability of small businesses to provide architect-engineer indefinite delivery contract (AE IDIQ) services for naval architecture and marine engineering design support for USACE inland and coastal vessels. The anticipated contract capacity is $20 million over a 5-year ordering period, with individual task orders ranging from $50k to $2m. Services may include feasibility studies, naval architecture, marine engineering, electrical engineering, regulatory compliance, overhauls, energy efficiency, structural modeling, CFD analyses, sea keeping, dynamic positioning, acoustic/vibration engineering, crane/load handling design, hydraulic systems, concept to final design, cost estimates, vessel scans, inspections, and forensic investigations. Interested businesses must provide their name, CAGE code, UEI, business type (large/small, with small business classification if applicable), statement of capability and qualifications, RMS experience, and a list of relevant projects within the last 5 years. Small businesses must also address limitations on subcontracting. Responses are due by 12:00 PM EDT on Friday, April 10, 2026, and must be submitted electronically via email. No proprietary information should be included, and no payment will be made for submitted information. Registration in SAM. gov is required for all federal contractors. The results of this notice will be in effect for one year.
Responses to this sources sought notice shall be submitted no later than 12:00 PM EDT on Friday, April 10, 2026.
The notice requires a statement of capability and qualifications of the organization to perform the requirement, including indication of professionally registered personnel on staff, or through a subcontractor, in the field of naval architecture, marine engineering, and/or marine electrical engineering.
The total capacity of the contract is expected to be $20,000,**** over a 5-year ordering period.
