North Campus Entrance Hwy 8 Frontage Improvements, University of Idaho, Moscow, Idaho

North Campus Entrance Hwy 8 Frontage Improvement provide a 10 wide 940 asphalt pedestrian pathway for cyclists and pedestrians along the former railroad bed. the landscaping is a xeriscape landscape with fescue grasses and native prairie wildflowers and forbs for pollinators which then blend into the existing paradise creek ecosystem zone. interpretive nodes with a concrete plaza and interpretive signage structures are included to bring attention to specific areas of interest. earth berming is included within the design to replicate the hills of the palouse and create interest to an otherwise mundane abandoned railroad bed alignment. the earth berming is to cap the old creosote rail bed. the old railbed will remain undisturbed. other amenities include low voltage led lighting along the path to promote safety.
