The work to be performed under this construction contract shall be commenced within ten 10 days after a notice to proceed is received by the contractor, or on the date specified in the notice, whichever is later, and shall be completed within thirty 30 calendar days following the required commencement date.

If the work is not performed in accordance with the terms of this agreement and in compliance with the notice to proceed, the lacda is entitled to impose the penalty of five hundred 500 dollars per day.
