The tender requires a
contractor to perform
inspection, maintenance, repair, and recharge of wheeled fire extinguishers at the McGhee Tyson ANG B, Tennessee facility. The period of performance is one base year of 12 months and 0 12-month option years. The
contractor must comply with all federal, state, and local requirements, including AFOSHSTD ****, OSHA, and manufacturer recommendations. The
contractor must follow NFPA 10 standards and 13f44121. The US Air Force will provide all halon **** for flight line fire extinguishers. The
contractor must maintain an adequate workforce, and employees must comply with installation regulations, including fire, traffic, safety, and security regulations. Recognized US holidays are specified, and the
contractor shall not perform services on these days. A quality control plan (QCP) must be developed and maintained to ensure services are performed according to the PWS. The government will evaluate the
contractor's performance according to the quality assurance surveillance plan (QASP). The
contractor must comply with all applicable installation facility access and local security policies and procedures. All hazardous waste generated from contract activities must be disposed of according to federal and state regulations. Nonflammable, environmentally friendly, biodegradable products must be used. The
contractor must submit the AF form **** chemical hazardous material request authorization and the manufacturer's material safety data sheet (MSDS) to the base hazmart. The
contractor agrees to attend post-award conferences and periodic progress meetings. The
contractor must designate a contract manager (CM) and an alternate. All
contractor personnel must identify themselves as such. The
contractor must retrieve all identification media from employees who depart employment. The
contractor must comply with the US government's zero tolerance policy regarding trafficking in persons. The government will provide the property, material, equipment, and/or services listed in paragraph 3. 1. The
contractor must inspect and perform 6-year complete maintenance in conjunction with 12-year hydrostatic testing, refilling, and recharging of all 150 lb wheeled halon fire extinguishers. Maintenance performed must be recorded on a record sticker, tag, or plate. The
contractor must maintain an inventory record of all extinguishers. The service report and the halon report must be provided to the AMXS POC. Applicable publications and forms are listed in the document.
