The City of Arvada is seeking bids for the Gold Strike Park Construction project. The project involves various construction services including earthwork, creek restoration, utility installation, building construction (restroom, picnic shelter, pavilion), bridge and boardwalk installation, paving, landscaping, and electrical work. Bids are due August 11, 2026. A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for July 9, 2026. Questions must be submitted through bidnetdirect. com by July 16, 2026. Electronic submissions are required. Funding is partially provided by federal grants.
The project is to be completed no later than August 31, 2028.
Payment from Arvada will traditionally be paid net 15 days but no later than net thirty 30 days. Invoices will accurately reflect actual work completed by contractor.
The responsible bidder with the lowest-priced, most responsive bid who meets the requirements and criteria set forth in the CSB within the limits of funds available and that best serves the City's interest will be selected to receive the award.
The City may make such investigation as it deems necessary to determine the ability of the bidder to perform the work. The City reserves the right to reject any bid if the evidence submitted by, or investigation of, such bidder fails to satisfy the City that such bidder is properly qualified to carry out the obligation of the contract agreement and to complete the work contemplated therein.
A daily charge will be made against the contractor for each calendar day, including free time that any work remains uncompleted after the expiration of contract time. This daily charge, determined by the original contract amount for the project, will be deducted from any money due the contractor. This deduction will be considered liquidated damages, not a penalty.
A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for July 9, 2026, at 1:00 PM MT at Gold Strike Park, **** W 56th Ave, Arvada, CO **** at the existing parking lot accessed off W. 56th Ave.
Contact with the requesting department may result in vendor disqualification. Failure to enter into contract or submit requisite documentation within seven calendar days from the date the contract is executed may result in the bidder being considered in default.
