The contractor shall begin performance within 10 calendar days and complete it within 105 calendar days after receiving award, notice to proceed. The total period of performance is estimated at 60 days, with a main effort of 30 days for construction and 5 days for final cleanup.
Payments shall be made in Malawi Kwacha. The contractor's attention is directed to Section H, ****, Payments under Fixed-Price Construction Contracts.
The contractor warrants that work performed under this contract conforms to the contract requirements and is free of any defect in equipment, material, or design furnished, or workmanship performed by the contractor or any subcontractor or supplier. This warranty shall continue for a period of 1 year from the date of final acceptance of the work.
The U. S. government intends to award a contract/purchase order to the responsible company submitting an acceptable offer at a fair and reasonable price. The award will be based on initial proposals, though discussions may be held if needed.
The contractor shall be qualified or approved by the manufacturer to perform the work for the specified guarantee period. The contractor shall be responsible for any manufacturers warranty and inspection.
If the contractor fails to comply with the requirements of the contracting officer under the schedule clause, the contracting officer may impose liquidated damages for any additional costs actually incurred by the government as a result of the contractors failure to meet the schedule.
A site visit is mandatory and scheduled for July 28, 2026, at 09:30 AM. You must request permission in writing by sending an email expression of interest to ***@***. *. * on or before July 24, 2026. A maximum of two attendees will be permitted.
Before supplying any materials, fittings, accessories, or cabinets, the contractor shall submit samples or product data sheets to the embassy for review and approval.
Any prospective offeror who requires a clarification, explanation, or interpretation of the contract requirements must make a request to the contracting officer not less than ten working days before the closing date of the solicitation.
Incomplete quotations will not be accepted. Quotations must be in English. Offers providing less than 30 calendar days for government acceptance after the date offers are due will not be considered and will be rejected.
It is anticipated that this project is in the price range between $25,000 and $60,000.
